Terms of use
The terms that apply to using this website — what our guides do and do not guarantee, and how this site relates to the hotels and places it writes about.
Please read these terms before using this site. If you do not agree with them, please leave the site.
The agreement
These terms govern your use of visitobx.com (the “site”), between MKL Hospitality Group (“we”, “us”, “our”) and you, the person using the site on a phone, tablet, desktop or any other device. By browsing, viewing, downloading or using anything on this site you agree to them.
What is on this site
This site is a guide to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Everything on it is for information only, and no guarantee or warranty is made as to its accuracy.
Opening hours, prices, ferry times, event dates and access change, often at short notice and always outside our control. Check with the place itself before you travel. A guide that was right when it was written is not a promise about the day you visit.
This site takes no bookings and publishes no room rates. Where we describe a hotel, the rooms, rates, availability and terms of a stay are that hotel’s, agreed with that hotel or its booking provider. Where anything here differs from what a hotel publishes on its own site, the hotel’s own site governs.
Other websites
This site links to the hotels, and to restaurants, parks, piers, museums, festivals and other businesses we write about. Following such a link takes you to a separate website with its own terms. You follow those links at your own risk, and we cannot be held liable for any claim or damage arising from your use of those businesses or websites. Linking to them is not an endorsement, and we are not paid to include them.
Safety on the Outer Banks
Some of what this site describes — ocean swimming, rip currents, four-wheel driving on the beach, wild horses, fishing from piers and boats, hang gliding — carries real risk. Our guides are not safety instruction and are no substitute for local advice, posted warnings, lifeguards or the National Park Service. Follow the guidance where you are, not the guidance here.
Changes to this site

Copyright and trademarks
